Our Story

Enderley Pictures was founded during the pandemic by Billy Arthur, with a single conviction: that the truth is always stranger than fiction, and that those stories deserve to be told with craft, ambition and integrity.

In 2022, the company became an awardee of the Channel 4 Emerging Indie Fund, recognising Enderley's commitment to independent, boundary-pushing factual filmmaking. From there, the company grew into a globally recognised force in unscripted television, with titles on Channel 4, Fox Nation, Amazon Prime, BINGE, Crime+Investigation and TV4, and distribution through Off the Fence reaching audiences across the globe.

From our first feature Apple: The Trillion Dollar Betrayal to multi-part docuseries for the world's biggest streamers, we have built a reputation for finding stories that are genuinely unmissable: binge-able, character-driven, and impossible to look away from.

Billy Arthur is a BAFTA-nominated documentary producer and director who founded Enderley Pictures while still in his early twenties. He grew up in Stroud and co-directed his first documentary at sixteen: a CBBC film that went on to receive a BAFTA nomination.

Before founding Enderley, Billy worked across a broad range of productions including Killing Eve, The Green Planet, Sort Your Life Out and Springwatch. Named a 'rising star' by The Daily Mirror, in 2022 he received two Royal Television Society Midlands nominations, Best Documentary and Breakthrough Talent, for Apple: The Trillion Dollar Betrayal.

Billy built Enderley from the ground up, learning the business side of production the hard way. That experience shaped a company culture that champions emerging talent, giving young filmmakers meaningful, hands-on roles they might not get elsewhere. He believes the best stories come from hungry, curious teams who care more about the work than the credits.

Our strongest IP doesn't stop at the documentary. With several of our titles gaining significant cultural traction, Enderley Pictures is currently in development on scripted adaptations of our original work, bringing these extraordinary true stories to fresh audiences through an entirely different medium.
